Our Bureau

Bangalore May 18 E Zone and Electronics Bazaar, the Future Group's retail formats for consumer electronics, are expected to contribute close to Rs 800 crore to the group's turnover during the year 2007-08. The two retail formats together have posted a turnover of Rs 450 crore this year, according to Mr Manoj Kumar, CEO, E Zone.

Currently, E Zone has 11 exclusive stores and five shops in Central and Home Town, with plans to launch five more in the next three months.

E Zone was launched last year as a lifestyle retail brand offering over 200 brands in the consumer electronics and durables categories. The stores also offer private labels Sensei and Koryo in various product categories such as televisions, air-conditioners, MP3 players, rice-cookers and microwave ovens. Products for Sensei and Koryo brands are sourced from three-four countries including China and some are locally made, according to Mr Manoj Kumar. Private labels contribute about 25 per cent to the turnover, he said.

"Our value proposition to customers is a superior service experience and value prices," Mr Manoj Kumar told Business Line. E Zone has three dedicated zones for electronics retailing : Liberation Zone, Experience Zone and Home Zone, where customers can experience products according to their requirements.
