BOC India net dips 43%

Kolkata May 19 BOC India, the industrial gases major and part of Germany's Linde Group, suffered a 43 per cent dip in 2006-07 net profit at Rs 44.60 crore (Rs 78.63 crore in 2005-06) on a lower turnover of Rs 496.58 crore (Rs 560.93 crore).

The board of directors recommended a dividend of 25 per cent for 2006-07. The profit before tax at Rs 68.06 crore (Rs 121. 87 crore) included an extra-ordinary profit amounting to Rs 24.29 crore from the sale of immovable property at Chennai.
