Coimbatore May 21 The repackaged `Union Classic Current Account' from the Union Bank of India stable would be offered in five of its branches in this region, Mr S. Padmanabhan, Assistant General Manager, Regional Office, Coimbatore said.

The bank has 41 branches in this region, covering nine districts. Two new branches are to be opened in Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri very soon.

The bank proposes to launch this product from June 1.

The product is expected to offer the customer a wide range of concessions and services. The benefits, though, would vary with the balances maintained, Mr Padmanabhan said.

"We are targeting to bring at least 200 customers within the fold of the Union Classic Current Account in the first six months of the launch," he said.
