Software Citrix solutions with SAP `reduce response time' Our Bureau
Coimbatore May 21 If IT organisations find it difficult to deliver cost effective and seamless support mission critical business applications consequent to the emergence of web-based technologies, the expectations among the end users about the performance, usability and availability of the application is no less. Citrix Systems in alliance with SAP has created a report, which emphatically states that the usage of Citrix solutions against a wide range of SAP applications could bring about a 99 per cent reduction in the network wait time. The solutions were tested at the SAP Enterprise Services Community Networking Lab. The tests measured the impact of Citrix products like Citrix NetScaler, Citrix WanScaler and Citrix PresentationServer.
New products
Citrix NetScaler is an application delivery controller designed to optimise and deliver web-based applications with an integrated networking solution. Its PresentationServer is designed to deliver Windows-based applications, while the WANScaler strives to improve the performance of all applications over the wide area network to branch office users. Sharing the results of the report Citrix sources said the company's Application Delivery Infrastructure enhanced the response time for SAP application users up to 99 per cent while improving the efficiency of existing servers, networks and bandwidth.
