Adobe to focus on animation, publishing

Hyderabad May 21 Technology products company Adobe has initiated efforts to spread its reach to 70 cities by the end of this year with focus on animation and publishing.

The company hinted at the launch of a new product suite that works with both Mac and Intel platforms for online publishers.

The Country Sales Manager, Adobe Systems, Mr M. Sandeep Mehrotra, said that the company has potential to tap a large chunk of the growing market for animation and publishing outsourcing that is poised to hit the $6-billion mark by 2010.

New tools

A large number of software and animation companies have begun to use Adobe family of products and there is big demand supply mismatch for trained professionals in the area of gaming and development. As a part of Adobe strategy, the company is working at offering its software products and development tools at lower cost for educational institutions. There will be two different sets — one for the sub K12 and the other for the universities and training institutions.
