IOSL signs pact with Bangalore intl airport

Bangalore May 21 Indian Oil Skytanking Ltd (IOSL) today announced the signing of an agreement with Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) for offering services to domestic and international airlines for 10 years. The agreement was signed by Mr Albert Brunner, CEO of Bangalore International Airport Ltd and Dr R. Ravi Kumar, CEO of Indian Oil Skytanking Ltd in a ceremony which was attended by Mr Paul Workman, MD of Skytanking GmbH Germany, Mr Pieter Van Espen, MD of Skytanking Belgium, Mr R. Sareen, Head of Aviation Function of IOC and other senior officials of BIAL, IOC and IOSL, said an IOSL release.

A joint venture of Indian Oil Corporation and Skytanking Holding GmbH, Germany, IOSL will undertake the fuelling operation in the airport, which is scheduled to open in April.

IOSL is also the fuel partner for BIAL and is already building the fuel farm facility and hydrant system costing $ 23 million at this airport. This fuel farm facility is expected to be ready by the end of December.

Bangalore International Airport is expected to handle up to 1,00,000 takeoffs and landings annually and this business alliance will add strength to IOSL's fuel farm operations.
