Our Bureau

Hyderabad May 22 As a part of corporate social responsibility, HSBC Global Resourcing has pledged $25,000 towards the support for 24 orphaned children suffering from HIV/AIDS.

These children are part of Sivananda Rehabilitation Home (SRH), an organisation based in Hyderabad, which works to restore health, hope and dignity to people affected by leprosy, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS.

The Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Global Resourcing, Mr Rumi Contractor, on Tuesday presented an initial cheque of Rs 6 lakh to Ms Meera Rao of SRH.

The funds contributed by HSBC will be used to provide medical support and basic living infrastructure to the children. HSBC's Group Service Centres in ten locations across five countries focus on various education and environment related activities.
