TN slashes VAT on processed tea

Chennai, May 23

The Tamil Nadu Government on Wednesday announced that the rate at which value-added tax is levied on processed tea would stand reduced from 4 per cent to 1 per cent. The Government's revenue sacrifice on account of this is estimated

at Rs 2.07 crore, an official press release said.
