Information security certification

Our Bureau

Mumbai, May 23

MCX has received the highest certification in information security management system ISO/IEC 27001:2005. A benchmark for information security, the certification calls for standard requirements to identify, manage and minimise the range of threats that information is subject to.

"MCX is the world's first and only multi commodity exchange to have bagged the certification. This reinforces our methodical approach to information security, which is so critical to our business," said Mr Joseph Massey, Deputy Managing Director, MCX. The exchange has already obtained ISO 9001:2000 certification for Quality Management System.
