Aricent sets up R&D unit in UK

Aricent would focus primarily on serving the product development and services requirement of Nokia Siemens Networks.

New Delhi May 23 Communication software solutions company Aricent has set up a research and development centre in the UK. The centre would employ 100 software professionals with wireless domain knowledge in GSM and EDGE technologies.

Aricent would focus primarily on serving the product development and services requirement of Nokia Siemens Networks. However, the company is also seeking to serve its other European clients.

Revenue Sharing

Commenting on the details of the partnership, Mr Manoranjan Mohapatra, President and COO, told Business Line, "Eighty per cent of activities of this centre would support Nokia Siemens and remaining 20 per cent would support other customers."
