More platforms at Vizag station

Two more platforms are under construction at Visakhapatnam Railway station and they may be ready by July, according to Mr Indra Ghosh, Divisional Railway Manager. At a review meeting with Mr N. Janardhana Reddy, member of the Lok Sabha from Vizag, he said that the new platforms, in addition to the existing six, would enable introduction of new trains and bringing more trains passing through via Duvvada to Waltair station. A new air-conditioned passenger reservation complex is under construction at the station with 10 counters, he added.
