Pawan Hans plans fleet expansion

Our Bureau

New Delhi, May 25

The state-owned helicopter company Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd (PHHL) plans to expand its fleet to include small aircraft that can seat up to 20 passengers. Currently, the company has a fleet of 34 helicopters. Pawan Hans was recently given a no-objection certificate (NOC) to operate as a `scheduled operator'. The grant of a scheduled operator status will allow PHHL to print its schedules for both helicopter and small aircraft operations.
