SpiceJet clocks Rs 70-cr loss

New Delhi, May 25

SpiceJet has reported net loss of Rs 70.74 crore for the 10-month period ended March, compared to net loss of Rs 41.46 crore during the same period in the previous year.

The airline has, however, reported 121 per cent increase in total revenues to Rs 748.27 crore on the back of better fare realisation and increase in the fleet deployment. The number of passengers flown also increased by 95 per cent to 2.61 million from 1.34 million in the comparable previous period. SpiceJet has now decided to follow the April-March accounting year.
