The National Productivity Council has awarded the National Productivity Award to Nafed in the category of best biofertiliser producers for two successive years, 2004-05 and 2005-06. Nafed runs two biofertiliser units at Indore in Madhya Pradesh and Bharatpur in Rajasthan. It markets a wide range of bio-fertiliser products including acebacter-urea coating agent (UCA), under its brand name.
