Kumarakom Lake Resort has been nominated for the World Travel Awards in three categories, including one in which it is pitted against some of the top resorts in the world.

The idyllic resort set on the banks of the Vembanad Lake in Kerala has already been awarded the title of India's leading resort during the World Travel Awards in 2006. This year it has been nominated for the same category as well as for two others — India's Leading Spa Resort and World's Leading Green Resort. The Green categories have been introduced for the first time in the fourteenth edition of the World Travel Awards.
