Kakodkar call to students

The 17th convocation of the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, was held recently. The convocation address was delivered by Dr Anil Kakodkar, Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission. Among other things, Dr Kakodkar said that the linkages with Indian industry and society were indispensable for the learning environment for students. He said he was convinced that institutions like BIT could become important hubs for such activities. Dr Kakodkar urged students to remain in the country and work in areas that allowed them to contribute to national development in a meaningful manner.
