Uninspiring logo

The name of the new entity — National Aviation Company Ltd — inspires little. Why should we give up the grand and globally popular and highly inspiring name of Air India?

The existing Air India logo is globally renowned and should have been continued for the merged entity as well.

Now, a combination of the `flying swan' from Air India's centaur and the `Konarak wheel' from Indian Airlines is being introduced.

S. Subramanyan
