Hyderabad May 29 The Intra-Regional Route Development Forum (Asian region) - 2009, an international aviation conference, will be held in Hyderabad in March.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Mr T. Srinagesh, Chief Operating Officer, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL), said Routes was an annual congregation of various stakeholders of aviation and tourism sectors.

GHIAL had won the bid to host the event that was likely to attract top executives from 100 airline companies and 150 airports from across the world. About 500 delegates were expected to attend the meeting.

Routes congregations were being held globally each year, providing an opportunity for stakeholders of aviation and tourism sectors to network and hold discussions.

Routes Asia for 2007 was held at Hainan (China), while the global Routes was scheduled for this September at Stockholm. For 2008, it would be held in Kuala Lumpur, he said.

A team from Routes would visit the cities annually that bid for the event and select one of them after considering parameters such as aviation market and infrastructure.
