Archidply plans IPO

Hyderabad May 29 Archidply Industries, a plywood manufacturing company, is planning to come out with a public issue this financial year to part fund the upcoming manufacturing facility near Bangalore.

This would be thefourth manufacturing facility for the company. It has such facilities in Mysore, Uttaranchal and Assam. The company is likely to invest Rs 50 crore on the new facility.

Mr Shyam Daga, Joint Managing Director, told Business Line that the company was also looking at contract farming opportunities in Karnataka and Uttaranchal in this regard. "We have bid for such opportunities in these two States," he said.

Power plants

The company would also set up power plants for captive use. "We need 3-MW of power for each of the manufacturing units. We will go for a hydel unit in Uttaranchal and set up a windmill unit for the Bangalore facility," he said.
