JAJAH strengthening presence here

Our Bureau

New Delhi, May 30

The US-based Web-based calling company JAJAH is all set to strengthen its presence in the county. The company has announced the investment by T-Online Venture Fund, which is part of a $20-million investment round, co-led by Intel Capital. The company plans to take on the likes of Skype with its Internet-based calling solutions. JAJAH recently announced that it has acquired more than two million users from 55 countries, including India, in its first year of business. Unlike traditional VoIP solutions, JAJAH uses regular phones and does not require software or special equipment. A user simply initiates the call from www.jajah.com and JAJAH connects the call to either landline or mobile phones, for a fraction of traditional cost. Additionally, users can make the same calls from mobile phones and from Web-enabled smart phones.
