New Projects Vibha Agro plans units in AP, Gujarat Our Bureau
Hyderabad May 30 Vibha Agrotech Ltd, a Hyderabad-based crop genetics and hybrid seed company, is planning to invest Rs 125 crore in establishing seed processing units and research facilities in Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat. Speaking to newspersons, Mr P. Vidya Sagar, Chairman and Managing Director, said the company would raise the funds through internal accruals and bank support. In Andhra Pradesh, the facilities would come up at Jadcherla in Mahboobnagar district and Armoor in Nizamabad district.
TO be ready by February
The Gujarat plant would come up at Gandhinagar. "The plants would be ready by February," he said. The company, which registered a turnover of Rs 120 crore last year, is looking at Rs 170 crore in the current fiscal. Vibha Agrotech has signed an agreement with the Adelaide-based Australian Centre for Plant Functional Genomics (ACPFG) to work on developing products for farmers.
