Kolkata May 30 Standard Chartered Bank has launched a special savings account - christened aaSaan - only for customers of the branch. The latter, incidentally, has a large neighbourhood to serve, one that has a good number of women clients. The account will allow free cash withdrawals from domestic (non-SCB) VISA ATMs and provide an international debit card for a fee. It will also come with a free local cheque book. Ms Rajashree Nambiar, Head - Branch Banking, India said the bank will try to cater to women's financial needs in varied ways, continuing an effort that has already seen the introduction of its Diva card. The latter has features that are quite different. "At a certain level, savings and investments needs of a woman may be very different from those of a man. We need to see how we can help her meet targets," she stated.
