Hospital for children with heart ailments

Hyderabad May 31 Senior paediatric cardiologists have joined hands to set up a dedicated hospital to attend to children suffering from heart ailments.

The Rs 15-crore Innova Children's Hospital will offer medical facilities of global standards, Dr K.S. Murthy, Chairman and Managing Director, said.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, he said the hospital would set up telemedicine facilities in district headquarters in order to offer medical advisory services to doctors serving there.

The hospital will also act as a research centre, studying various issues related to paediatric cardiac problems.

Dr Murthy has performed over 6,000 cardiac surgical procedures.
