Lack of buyers affects spot rubber prices

Aravindan

Kottayam June 1 Physical rubber prices declined on Friday. They failed to improve, reacting in tandem with TOCOM since there were no genuine and quantity buyers in the market. Sheet rubber RSS 4 slipped to Rs 86.75 from Rs 87.50 and Rs 87.25 a kg respectively at Kottayam and Kochi. There has been selling pressure from dealers to avoid losses, as they feared further fall, sources said.
