Flamingo Pharmaceuticals Ltd has announced the launch of its products in Tamil Nadu. The range includes antibiotics brand Trixone; Qubid and Flaag in the anti-infectives segment; and Bonforte for treating ostepororosis. According to a company release, Flamingo markets these products in over 45 countries.

In Tamil Nadu, anti-infectives, gastroenterological and orthocare market size is estimated at Rs 650 crore. The company expects the Tamil Nadu market to contribute 6.5 per cent of its domestic sales. Institutional sales through private hospitals and nursing homes in the State will be a major component of the total sales, the release added. Flamingo Pharmaceuticals has two facilities: one at Rabale, on the outskirts of Mumbai, and the other at Taloja in Raigad district, Maharashtra. It also has an R&D facility.
