Kolkata June 6 Reliance Communications, part of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG), plans to expand its GSM and CDMA network from the current 10,000 towns to 22,000 towns by the end of the year, according to Mr S.P. Shukla, President, Personal Business, Reliance Communications. "We will expand our GSM and CDMA network to 22,000 towns across the country by the end of this year. Massive expansion is happening in the GSM space. In the eastern region, we plan to expand our network from 2,000 towns to 9,000 towns by the year-end," Mr Shukla told newspersons here on Wednesday. Currently, Reliance Communications offers GSM service in the eastern regiononly. On capacity expansion, Mr Shukla said, the company expects to have "close to 25,000 towers" by the year-end. The company on Wednesdayannounced a reduction in its lifetime validity tariff to Rs 222 from Rs 495 for its GSM customers. Reliance Communications currently has a customer base of 32 million, including four million GSM customers
