Sharp equity capital write-down

Mumbai, June 6

The equity capital of Sharp Industries Ltd will be written down by 95 per cent of its existing paid-up equity capital as the Bombay High Court has approved the company's proposed Scheme of Compromise and Arrangement under Sections 100, 391 and 392 of the Companies Act. The company has issued new share certificates to that effect to its existing equity shareholders, the company informed the BSE.
