Hyderabad June 9 Beam Global Spirits and Wines has launched DYC, its first domestic product in the premium whisky segment, in Andhra Pradesh.

"DYC features imported malts and locally sourced premium grain spirits and offers a luxurious experience in Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) segment," Mr N. Srinivasan, Deputy General Manager (South), Beam Global, told reporters here on Saturday.

The company is targeting a 20 per cent market share in the premium whisky segment in the State.

"About 15,000 cases of premium whisky are sold in Andhra Pradesh. Our target is to sell over 3,000 cases a month," he said.

Beam Global would soon introduce regular whisky and wine spread in the domestic market.

"Our focus has been predominantly on international brands and we intend to bring top global brands to India," Mr Srinivasan added.
