Our Bureau

New Delhi June 10 Passengers booking e-tickets for travelling in sleeper class (non-air conditioned) category in trains would now have to pay Rs 10 for the first passenger instead of the earlier level of Rs 15.

However, the prevailing rule of paying Rs 5 per additional passenger booked on an e-ticket with an upper limit of Rs 25 continues.

In each ticket, a maximum of six passengers can be booked.

"For booking an e-ticket in sleeper class, Rs 15 was charged since April this year. We have decided to further reduce it to Rs 10," Railway Ministry officials told reporters here.
