The Kerala Government will take up various disaster management projects in the State with the assistance of the Centre.

The Revenue Minister, Mr K.P. Rajendran, and the Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority, Mr N.C. Vij, held talks in this regard here on Monday. It was decided at the meeting that a team, headed by the Vice-Chairman of the Authority, would visit some time next month.

The State Government submitted to the Authority a cyclone disaster management project as also a scheme for the rehabilitation of houses in the coastal areas, which were affected by natural calamities.
