J&K export turnover at Rs 1,500 cr

New Delhi, June 11

Jammu and Kashmir is expected to achieve an export turnover of Rs 1,500 crore for handicrafts, sports and leather goods in the current fiscal compared to Rs 1,150 crore in 2006-07, according to industry chamber Assocham. With normalcy returning to the State, tourists arrival is expected to be over 10 lakh in the current fiscal against six lakh arrivals in the last fiscal, according to the chamber.
