Chemical disaster mock drill today

The Dakshina Kannada district administration, in association with other departments and agencies, will conduct chemical disaster mock drill in Mangalore on Wednesday. Addressing presspersons here, Mr A.G. Bhat, Headquarters Assistant to Deputy Commissioner, said the mock drill would be held at Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers (MCF) Ltd and New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) from 9 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. Representatives from National Disaster Management Authority will monitor the activities during the mock drill. National highway stretch near MCF and NMPT will be blocked for sometime during the mock drill, he added.
