Coimbatore June 12 Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (LMW) has been awarded (under medium enterprise category) for its outstanding performance in export of spinning machinery for 2005-06 by the Engineering Export Promotion Council.

The award in the form of `gold trophy' was given by the Commerce Minister, Mr Kamal Nath, to Mr R. Venkatrangappan, Wholetime Director of LMW, at a function held in Kolkata on June 1, according to a company press release.
