Rains hit train services

Kolkata, June 13

Train services on both Howrah and Sealdah divisions of Eastern Railway were disrupted today because of a spell of torrential rain early in the morning, says a press release.

The disruption was caused by frequent tripping of power supply, signal failure and failure of telecommunication links between stations and operations control offices. The city's circular railway services were also suspended because of waterlogging in some sections of the track, adds the release.
