New Delhi June 13 With a view to enhance output to meet the power generation commissioning schedule during the current Plan, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) is operating critical machines round-the-clock on three shift operations, a company release said. The equipment major is working on plans to raise its manufacturing capacity to 15,000 MW per annum in two stages over the next three years, with a total investment of around Rs 3,200 crore. The company's current annual capacity stands at 6,000 MW, which is already being ramped up to 10,000 MW per annum. The enhanced capacity of 10,000 MW would be available by the end of 2007, the release said. During 2006-07, BHEL manufactured and supplied 7,589 MW of power plant equipment, higher than its annual capacity of 6,000 MW, it said.
