Hotels EIH Associated profit after tax rises 52% Our Bureau
Kolkata June 13 EIH Associated Hotels Ltd, a subsidiary of EIH Ltd, the Oberoi Group flagship, today reported a PAT at Rs 13.71 crore for the financial year to March 31, 2007, as against Rs 8.99 crore in the previous year, representing a growth of 52 per cent. The operating profit increased by 43 per cent, from Rs 37 crore to Rs 53 crore. PBT improved by 162 per cent at Rs 21.76 crore (Rs 8.29 crore). The board proposed today a dividend of 8 per cent. The company's paid-up capital is Rs 19.59 crore. Incidentally, according to company note, a formal court approval to the schemes of arrangement has effectively merged Indus Hotels Corporation Ltd with the EIH Associated Hotels. As a consequence, the company now owns two The Oberoi branded hotels with 150 keys and six Trident Hilton branded hotels with 732 keys.
