The Hindu Opportunities Fair at Vizag

Visakhapatnam June 14 The Hindu Opportunities Fair 2007 is being organised here on June 23 and 24 at the Rajeev Gandhi indoor stadium, Visakhapatnam Port Sports & Cultural complex on the national highway near Akkayyapalem, according to a press release issued by Mr Ch. Venkataratnam, Regional General Manager (Advertisement).

Five such events have been conducted this year by The Hindu till now in Thiruvananthapuram, Tiruchi, Hyderabad, Madurai and Bangalore, with the participation of more than 2.5-lakh job-seekers.

More than 15 companies are participating in the job fair here from IT, ITES and BPO sectors.

Some of them are Allsec Technologies, Brigade Corporation India, Cognizant, Gems Techno Solutions India, Genpact, HDFC Life Insurance, HSBC, Nipuna Services, Nunet Technologies, Sankhya Technologies, Slash Support India, Verizon Data Services and Xinthe Technologies.

Each company is planning to recruit a large number of employees — fresh graduates/post-graduates — as well as professionals with up to ten years experience in the above fields. Candidates can register online at www. thehindu.com or www.tmifirst.com/hf6/index.aspx. Once the registration is over, the candidates need to take printout of their registration and walk into the fair.

It is advisable to carry at least 15 printouts of one's resume to the fair, adds the release.

This event has Cognizant as the presenting sponsor, with Verizon and HSBC as associate sponsors. TMI First is the technology partner, while the BSNL is the communication partner.
