Gramin bank unions' strike call

The Joint Forum of Gramin Bank Unions has given the call for two-day strike to be observed on June 29 and 30 in all 96 regional rural banks (RRBs) in the country.

The demands include proper and uniform manpower planning, recruitment and promotion policy in the RRBs, implementation of the Banking Pension Settlement 1993 and 1994 in the RRBs, parity with sponsor banks in respect of allowances, benefits and service conditions and continuation of the Compassionate Appointment Scheme of 1982, according to a statement issued by the Joint Forum of Gramin Bank Unions.
