Nitte (Udupi dist), June 17

The Nitte Education Trust, Mangalore, and the University of Pennsylvania, US, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate in five broader areas of education.

Speaking at a function to exchange the MoU documents at Nitte in Udupi district, Dr M.S. Moodithaya, Director of Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management (one of the constituent institutes of Nitte Education Trust), said that the five broader areas of MoU are student exchange programme; faculty exchange programme; exchange of documents and materials; collaborative research and collaboration in organising international seminars.

EXPOSURE TO INDIA

Many foreign students want to have India exposure during their studies, and student exchange programme will provide an opportunity for students from University of Pennsylvania in this regard. In the same way, students of the Nitte group of institutions will also be benefited.

The faculty from both the organisations would get an opportunity to have better exposure under the faculty exchange programme.

Exchange of documents and materials would provide competitive advantage for institutions coming under these two organisations, he said.
