Opinion - Letters
Rising rupee

I am wondering why our companies are worried about rising rupee. Instead, Indian corporates should concentrate on moving up the value chain and increase revenues by taking on high-end consulting work.

Global companies, such as Intel or IBM are not dependent on a weak dollar.

Radical thinking by IT captains is required to take the IT sector forward. They should have more industry-technical institute interactions. Companies should spend more money on R&D and new product development for the vibrant domestic market too. This is the only way for sustained economic growth.
