BBC Global Channels' new director

New Delhi, June 18

British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Global Channels has established a position of Director, Distribution and Development, for it South Asia operations. The network has chosen Mr Amit Upadhyay to take on the responsibilities of distribution and development of the BBC's three international channel brands in South Asia — BBC Entertainment, BBC World and Cbeebies — in his new position.

Mr Upadhyay will be reporting to Ms Christine Leo-McKerrow, SVP, BBC Global Channels, Asia-Pacific, until the network appoints a General Manager for BBC Global Channels' South Asia operations. Mr Upadhyay was heading the distribution and business development of the network.
