Textiles job fair in Tirupur next month

Our Bureau

Coimbatore June 18 A job fair exclusively to meet the manpower needs of the Tirupur-based apparel and textile sector will be held in Tirupur next month.

The `Job Fair 2007' will be held at the India Knit Fair complex in Tirupur on July 28-29.

It is being organised for the first time by Tirupurjobs.net, an employment portal promoted by the Coimbatore-based Axon Infosoft Group.

The Group is engaged in offering textile/apparels-related IT solutions.

The fair aims to bridge the growing gap in the manpower requirements of the industry in Tamil Nadu and serve as a platform for both jobseekers and employers.

It is expected to attract more than 75 employers and consultancy firms as participants and lead to more than 10,000 walk-ins of candidates from different industrial/apparel/textile clusters across the country as well as those from SAARC countries, according to a communication from Mr C.S. Manoharan, CEO of Axon Infosoft.
