Ministry holds meeting on export promotion council for films

Our Bureau

New Delhi June 19 For setting up an export promotion council for films, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry held a meeting on Tuesday to discuss various modalities for the council.

The agenda for the meeting included pursuance of the case of duty drawback on export of films and fixation of targets for existing and new markets for the purpose of evolving specific policies and monitoring achievements.

The core groups, which the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Mr Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi, had formed for development of films, would meet again next month to discuss issues such as location of the council as well as its structure and members.

The groups' members represent film guilds, chambers of commerce and industry and film exporters' association.
