Working on promoting the facility called Kidzcare

`ZILS has signed up for starting 25 `Kidzee High' schools and eight of them are going to operate soon'

Coimbatore June 20 Zee Interactive Learning Systems Ltd (ZILS), the education venture of the Rs 6,000-crore Essel group, plans to take its playschool brand `Kidzee' to rural areas.

The pre-school franchise brand promoters plan to tap semi-urban and rural centres with a `grahmin' model Kidzee school shortly, according to Mr Ashish Deb, Executive Vice-President of ZILS.

The company is also working on promoting Kidzcare, a daycare facility, and Kidzee High, a full-scale school with CBSE curriculum.

`ZILS, an ISO 9001 company has signed up for starting 25 `Kidzee High' schools and eight of them are going to operate this year," Mr Deb said, adding that the company had already started a Kidzcare centre in Bangalore and would open one in Hyderabad soon.

Kidzee has won the best franchiser award consecutively for the past three years from Franchising India Holding Ltd. The annual fee for the kids admitted to Kidzee would be between Rs 6,000 and Rs 36,000 depending on the centres where they are located.

Mr Deb and two other ZILS officials, Mr S. Jagannath, Assistant Vice-President (South), and Mr V. Gregory, Regional Manager- TN, who were here in connection with the launch of the company's first Kidzee play school in the city, hope to start at least 10 such schools in the Coimbatore region over the next one year.

ZILS has already set up 550 play schools in 260 locations accounting for an annual student strength of 50,000 and these schools employed about 2,000 trained teachers.
