Epicor, Allied Digital in tie-up

Our Bureau

Pune June 21 US-based Epicor Software Corporation has announced a strategic alliance with Allied Digital Services to expand its presence in western India.

Mr Stefan Westelius, senior director for Epicor in EMEA, said the alliance would focus on the manufacturing, retail, hospitality and services sectors. He refused to make any revenue projections, stating that the two partners would undertake a six-month SWOT analysis to understand the requirements of the Indian market.

Mumbai-based Allied Digital operates through 72 locations in 21 states and has 1,000 employees. Epicor's iScala Suite of solutions has been available in India for a decade through its channel partner Sonata Software.

Epicor's operations in India will be currently overseen from the Dubai office. It may consider setting up an office in India, and is scouting for a suitable location.
