Hyderabad June 22 The Andhra Pradesh Government has allotted land for JSW Ltd to set up an alumina refinery project at S. Kota Mandal in Vizianagaram district.

The State Cabinet had cleared the allotment of about 1,048 acres of land for the proposed project along with a resettlement and rehabilitation package recommended by the District Collector earlier, according to Mr A. Ramnaryana Reddy, Minister for Information and Public Relations, here.

Land value

The value of the Government dryland and wetland was fixed at Rs 2 lakh and Rs 2.25 lakh per acre respectively. For assigned lands, the company would pay an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh per acre to the assignee and Rs 75,000 per acre to the Government, the Minister has said.
