Variety - Wildlife
Jungle of Tadoba

Paul Noronha

HOME FOR A WIDE VARIETY: A collared Scops Owl perching on a tree in Tadoba forest in Maharashtra. Tadoba has the right mix of forested hills, valleys with perennial water sources, lakes surrounded by thick jungles and open grasslands or meadows. The prey base is wide, from langur and cheetal to sambar, gaur and wild boar. There are about 50 tigers in the Tadoba forest. One can sight them all over the Park, depending on the movement of the prey species.
