New Delhi June 25 Mitsubishi Motors Corporation on Monday said that it would broaden its product portfolio by launching one more car in the coming months.

"We would introduce a new model by the end of this year which would take the total number of products to five,'' said Mr R. Santhanam, Managing Director, Hindustan Motors, that has a joint venture with Mitsubishi Motors Corporation.

The company currently sells four vehicles including Lancer, Cedia, Pajero and Montero, with prices ranging between Rs 6.97 lakh and Rs 34.11 lakh.

``The number of car lines we are providing to our partner is small and we need to expand it,'' said Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Executive Officer, Mr Shinichi Kurihara.

The company has manufacturing facilities at Uttarpara in West Bengal from where it manufactures the Ambassador and another at Tiruvallur for the production of Lancer, Cedia and Pajero.

The company launched a new Montero on Monday in the SUV segment, which will be made available as a completely built unit. It has a 3.2 litre common rail direct injection system. The company said that it was looking to sell about 50-100 models a month.
