STCI Primary Dealer starts G-Sec operations

Mumbai June 25 STCI Primary Dealer Ltd, the recently incorporated primary dealership subsidiary of Securities Trading Corporation of India Ltd (STCI), commenced operations as a primary dealer in Government Securities on June 25, said a press statement from STCI.

STCI Primary Dealer will be engaged in underwriting and bidding in auctions for Treasury Bills and Government Securities, and making a market in these instruments. The company will also be engaged in other businesses which primary dealers are permitted to take up as that of dealing in corporate debt instruments, interest rate swaps, equity trading, mutual fund distribution and portfolio management, the release added.

The primary dealership company has an authorised capital of Rs 300 crore and a paid-up capital of Rs 200 crore.
