Mumbai June 26 Reliance Communications has entered into a tie-up with the Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) and the US-based Philadelphia University to deliver a course on retail management through Reliance World. Christened as `Executive Program for Retail Management (EPRM)', the programme is a 300-hour integrated course that covers different aspects of retail such as retail store management, visual merchandising, supply chain management and others. Both BIMTECH and Philadelphia University will jointly deliver the course content through the Reliance World videoconferencing based virtual classroom.
Course Fee
"Professors will visit India for contact sessions with students and will travel across the country to guide the programme participants through on-the-job projects," Mr Sarup Chowdhary, Director & CEO, Reliance Webstores Ltd, said in a videoconference. Of the 300 hours, 40 hours of the course will be delivered in BIMTECH's campus in Noida. Graduates with minimum two years experience will be eligible for the course. "We can take up to 1,000 students across our 240 centres in 105 cities. Reliance World will consider placing the top ten students in its retail organisation," added Mr Chowdhary. The course fee is Rs 1.6 lakh and can be paid in three instalments. The Reliance Communication scrip was up by 0.62 per cent to close at Rs 525.75 on the BSE today.
